My Friday Illustrations - Rain

I found the perfect place for me on-line - Illustration Friday.com.

It's a place where a specific theme is given every week, on Fridays, and then as a participant you can illustrate that theme by way of your own art work. The reason it fits me so well, is because I have areally hard time coming up with ideas - well, not exactly - I have too many ideas at a time, and end up not being able to realize any of them. Through Illustration Friday.com I can be creative, work on my skills and feel that I am actively working on my art.

I have been thinking of starting an art blog - where I both post my art and share about the process - now I have a perfect excuse to do just that.

Here is my first one:

Rain

I work from Photos - in this particular picture I have used a photo my sister-in-law's husband took - a rather bad photo, real shaky and blurred, but perfect for me - I decided to use that as a backdrop for the silouette of a man - the way it's built it looks as if he is looking at a Town in a real Rain Storm by the Sea. I used several filters - most prominently Oil Pastel Crayon. The foreground is built from photos of Autumn leaves.

I hope this will be an interesting journey - I am looking forward to it.

Til Next Friday:

Shalom!
